I Can Only Imagine ~ goes from song to movie

This is a sponsored post without giveaway.  All thoughts are my own and no others.

The whole story of how “I Can Only Imagine” was written, what its all about and even the story behind the song.  What makes it even better?  Well, the song only took ten minutes to write.

The lead singer of “MercyMe” had never told his story.  It was something that he’d kept quiet up until the making of this movie and it shows his life’s story.  From the time he was a small child up to the present day.

Here is the movie trailer to the song gone movie.

From the trailer, you can see that this is a very emotional movie about a real life singer writing the story about his life in a song.  Keep in mind, that most songs are written about singers and what happens or is happening, sometimes has happened, in their lives.  This one tells what has happened throughout his whole life and wrote the song itself in just ten minutes.  That ten minutes, tells of his entire life’s story.

“I Can Only Imagine” took the airwaves by storm when it was first released.  It was released in 2001.  Bart Millard’s father passed away in 1991 when he was only 18.  The song was released on an album for MercyMe in 1999.
